TEWKSBURY MA – Global media company ATEX has tabbed Interstate 495 North for its new North American headquarters, leasing 5,500 sf at 1 Highwood Dr. from BPG Properties Ltd. The 90,000-sf structure is part of Highwood Office Park, a three-building, Class A complex overlooking I-495 that BPG has owned since 2005.
“It’s a really nice park,” relays Stevens Group principal Debra Stevens, who counseled ATEX in a space search that considered options throughout the northern suburbs. Presently at 5 Burlington Woods in Burlington, ATEX will be moving into its new facility in February. A competitive rate, quality product and experienced owner were among the factors leading to Highwood’s selection, explains Stevens, a tenant representation expert who says the address also proved convenient for ATEX employees.
In addition, Stevens lauds the landlord’s leasing team for getting the deal finalized. That crew from Cushman & Wakefield includes Matthew Adams, Richard Ruggiero, Torin Taylor and Rory Walsh, while Heather Costanzo oversees the park for BPG Management Co. Stevens declined to provide financial details of the commitment, and described the length as “long-term.” Top rents in the I-495 North office submarket run into the low $20’s per sf.
