Canton MA – Armstrong Pharmaceuticals has purchased a 257,000 sq. ft. office/manufacturing building located at 25 John Road, Canton MA.The building was previously owned and occupied by Copley Manufacturing, which used the building for the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals for third party companies. In 2001, Copley was purchased by Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. and the building was subsequently vacated and offered for sale.
Armstrong Pharmaceuticals, which was purchased by Amphastar Pharmaceuticals in 2003, presently has two other locations in the Boston area. Those locations are at 10 Dan Road in Canton, and at 423 LaGrange Street, West Roxbury, MA. Armstrong was founded in 1955 as a manufacturer of specialty aerosol products. Armstrong produces a wide array of topical, personal care and pharmaceutical products. The building will be utilized by Armstrong for the manufacturing and distribution of its products.
The purchase price for the property was $5,850,000. Mark Stevens, Principal of The Stevens Group, and Richard Charkham, Managing Director and John McDonough, Vice President of GVA Williams, represented Copley/Teva USA in the sale of the property. Armstrong Pharmaceuticals was represented buy Warren Brown , President of Boston Commercial Properties.
